David Djarrka and Wendy Galanini

David Djarrka and his wife Wendy Galanini Yunupingu collaborate on many Mokuy carvings. They collect the wood together, discuss the story and the form the carving will take. David generally carves the wood and Galanini paints it, however they discuss every aspect of the carving together.

In 2014, Alcaston Gallery was thrilled to present new Mokuy sculptures by David Djarrka and Wendy Galanini. David and his wife Wendy collaborated on these unique Mokuy sculptures, discussing how each carving would take form, and the story it would try to convey.
