16 JANUARY - 14 FEBRUARY 2014 This brilliant selection of new paintings and works on paper in pencil & watercolour brings together the unique styles of these three Kaiadilt women, who each portray the tropical seascape of their country on Bentinck Island in the Gulf of Carpentaria, Queensland. Sally Gabori, one of the leading contemporary Australian Indigenous artists painting today, continues to take the viewer on a visual journey through life, landscape and memory in her art. Three major paintings by Sally Gabori were exhibited at the Palazzo Bembo in the Personal Structures exhibition, as part of the 55th Venice Biennale.
