Alcaston Gallery is pleased to present a hand-picked selection of watercolour paintings by Arrernte artist DOUGLAS ABBOTT from Ngurratjuta Illtja Ntjarra, Northern Territory. Greatly influenced by the work of Albert Namatjira and the first generation of Hermannsburg watercolour artists, Abbott has developed his own unique style, employing a bold colour palette to depict his landscape.

Douglas Abbott's work has been featured in several exhibitions, and can be found in collections around Australia, including Parliament House Art Collection, Canberra and Newcastle Regional Art Gallery, Newcastle.
